Mike Lantz – President/Founder

Mike’s purpose in life is to lead, inspire and coach others to their greatest potential.  This purpose has driven his personal and professional decisions throughout his life. 

Mike is a twenty-year veteran in the talent strategy, training, coaching and leadership development space. Prior to launching ML Talent Strategies, Lantz spent nearly eight years as the Chief Learning Officer for DEFENDERS.  Early in his tenure with DEFENDERS’, Lantz cast the vision and developed the strategy for learning & development to be the cornerstone for DEFENDERS’ growth. His teams hard work and business impact was recognized in 2016 when they were named the 17thtop training company in the world by Training Magazine.

Before joining DEFENDERS, Mike owned and operated LQ Performance Strategies for 10 years before selling the company in 2009. LQ, a full-service talent strategy firm, served over 250 different companies in 31 industries by developing and implementing customized employee development solutions in the areas of sales and leadership. 

Mike and his wife Julie currently reside in Fishers, IN with their five children.

Vanessa Brown – VP, Client Success

Vanessa’s professional career spans twenty years in Human Resources leadership, talent development, talent strategy and business growth strategies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in business from Indiana Wesleyan University and is certified in Employee Engagement and Well-being.

With her contagious positive attitude and servant-leadership approach, Vanessa has made it her mission to inspire people to explore their purpose, value their strengths, continuously grow, and strive for their best. 

Vanessa’s impressive experience and significant role growing people, and companies both large and small offers ML Talent Strategies’ clients the expertise and leadership needed to develop high-performing cultures and drive impressive business results.

Vanessa is married to her husband Scott, and they enjoy spending time with their fun and active teenagers, Emmy & Ethan. Vanessa is an avid tennis player and enjoys Zumba, baking with her daughter, volunteering at The O'Connor House and spending time relaxing with her family.

Fun Fact: When Vanessa isn’t cheering on Emmy at a softball game or listening to Ethan sing at a performance or watch his tennis match, she can be found smashing an overhead playing tennis, dancing like nobody’s watching at Zumba, baking a new sweet treat with her daughter or enjoying an evening full of laughter with her family. Bob Fasick - VP, Talent

Bob brings over 20 years of experience in the areas of leadership, talent strategy, training, coaching and management to ML Talent Strategies. Bob spent 13 years at Charles Schwab in escalating leadership roles including Sales Training Manager and Regional Sales Director where he was responsible for developing 5 business development teams across the country that annually surpassed asset targets of $4 Billion.

Most recently, Bob was Regional Vice President, Field Services at DEFENDERS, ADT's only Authorized Premier Provider with responsibility for regional sales performance, operations and partner development including the performance of over 500 Security Advisors throughout the country.

Bob earned his B.S in Finance and B.A in Economics from Illinois State University and his MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.  Bob lives in McCordsville, IN with his wife Debbie. They have two daughters, Alexis who works in Fashion Merchandising in New York City and Cassie who is an event coordinator at Youth for Christ in Indianapolis.

Chris Mills – VP, Client Success & HR Services

Chris is an innovative, service-oriented leader with 27 years of experience in diverse sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, business to business service, energy, and consumer products.  As a business executive, Chris is recognized for her ability to inspire others individuals and teams, drive strategic growth, creatively problem solve and foster change.  She has an extensive background in leadership development, succession planning, as well as the full suite of Human Resource focus areas.

She believes it is important for Human Resource leaders to understand that they are business leaders that can impact organizations outside of the HR scope.  She enjoys coaching leaders to achieve their best self.  She seeks to understand the desired outcome for a leader and then drives strategy and execution to ensure that they goal is met.  Her background in diverse industries allows her to create the right solution for the customers need.

 

Chris is a graduate of Manchester University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Economics. She resides in Noblesville, IN with her husband, Carlton. In addition, Chris is an active member in her church and serves on the board for School on Wheels, a non-for-profit focused on serving homeless children.

Stacey Rickman – Talent Strategist

Stacey brings over 20 years of experience in the areas of learning development, leadership/employee development, and organizational development to ML Talent Strategies.  Stacey spent the past few years focused on global technical learning platforms and onboarding programs, career development, process improvements and project management.  He also conducts workforce research focusing on trends and projections.

Most recently, Stacey was with Fortune 500 companies, Eli Lilly and Cummins supporting HR projects and leading global learning initiatives.  Some responsibilities included social learning strategies/platforms in pharma manufacturing, automotive operations training strategies and programs, process flow development, and diversity/inclusion initiatives.

Stacey earned his B.A in Human Resources Management from Marian University and lives in Indianapolis, IN with his wife Beth. They have two sons and a daughter.

Favorite book: Thank You for Arguing by Jay Heinrichs

Fun Fact- Stacey has the heart and soul of an architect.  He dreamt of being one since childhood.  He did the redesign and layout for two residential renovations in historically classified areas in downtown Indy.
